Jiangsu Suning forward Alex Teixeira may well be heading to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this summer, with his current owners considering using the Brazilian as leverage in their negotiations with Inter President Erik Thohir.
The Suning Commerce Group look set to provide the Nerazzurri with a financial boost after the confirmation that the two groups were close to completing a deal for a strategic cooperation.
According to Premium Sport, their relationship may well involve the former Shakhtar Donetsk player heading to Serie A to join the Nerazzurri on loan.
However Teixeira, who left Ukraine for the Chinese Super League in a deal worth €50 million, may well not be the only player on the move, with Felipe Melo possibly heading the other way to make space for the Brazilian striker.
It was in January that Teixeira joined Jiangsu Suning, and scored twice on his Chinese Super League debut in his side’s 3-0 over Shandong Luneng in March.
The 26-year-old Teixeira would be a terrific addition to Roberto Mancini’s squad. The attacking midfielder develiped into a star at Shakhtar Donetsk where he scored 89 goals in 222 appearances, while winning the Ukrainian Premier League five times.
