Are Manchester United tracking Maicon?

maiconMaicon’s agent believes Manchester United have upped their interest in the Inter Milan defender but insists there are no offers on the table.

The Brazil international joined Inter from Monaco in 2006 and has developed into a key player in the Nerazzurri team since Jose Mourinho took over two years ago.

Maicon’s impressive performances have caught the eye around Europe but Antonio Caliendo insists the 28-year-old is remaining at the San Siro for the time being.

“United’s interest in my client is not something new,” he told Tuttopremier.it. “They have been following him for a while. Now it seems to me that they are pressing for him but I don’t think there has been any concrete offers yet.”

How comes agents are the ones always talking about players going to other teams? Manchester United have gone on record recently as saying that they do not want to sign players in their late 20′s because their is no resell value in them once their three or four year contract is up. So I think the chances of Maicon going to Old Trafford to be between slim and none.

If inter is willing to sell Maicon, Manu or some other big clubs will splash the money & buy him.

Inter shld communicate with Maicon well, tell him that he is an important and integrated part of Inter team and persuade him to ignore any bid that may come his way.
