Inter Milan face Catania tomorrow night in a league game that will prepare them for their mid week Champions League return leg fixture against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge. Being the sole Italian representative remaining in the tournament, Jose Mourinho will definitely want to save the country the embarrassment and ensure that they beat the blues.
Inter come into tomorrow’s game on the back of some poor performances in the league that has allowed cross town rivals Milan to cut their lead over them to just 4 points. Out of their last 5 games, the Nerazzurri have drawn 4 and this gives them even more reason why they should bag all the 3 points in Sicily tomorrow. Inter will however have to be without their coach Jose Mourinho who will be serving the last of his 3 game touchline ban from the stands.
Mourinho has stated that that should not be an excuse for his side to lose the match. Mourinho’s opponents Catania will not be an easy nut to crack. The Sicilian side has not lost a home game since they lost to Livorno 1-0 in December. 11 points out of a possible 15 at home is a very convincing record.
Catania are in 16th position and they will want to avoid a loss at all costs. Losing could push them back into the relegation zone making it harder for them to stay afloat in the Serie A. The advantage is definitely with the home side however, Inter will also be sure to give a performance that will warrant them the important 3 points.
Inter welcome back Estaban Cambiasso for the game but they will be without Walter Samuel who will be serving a suspension. It is no secret that Mourinho will largely use the players that featured against Genoa with the only possible change coming in attack. Samuel Eto’o might for the 3 straight game start on the bench. A Pandev, Milito and Balotelli forward line is very much likely. Although ineffective against Genoa, they are bound to give the Catania defenders a hard time.
Considering Inter’s recent form in the league my prediction for this game is a 2-0 win. You can be sure that this will be the match to turn around Inter’s season.

Nothing to do with this article, but I have nowhere else to put this information. Inter is trying to make a deal for the left-back Kolarov from Lazio coming summer. The deal could be worth as much as 18 mln, although Inter is trying to low that amount.
Also it’s possible that Maicon will leave Inter after this season. A lot will depend on how Inter will finish in the Champions League… If he leaves, Kolarov deal could be even more likely.
