David Suazo Signs For Genoa On Loan

by David on December 30, 2009

David Suazo will be spending the first half of 2010 playing for Genoa.

A statement on Genoa’s official website reads:

“Genoa CFC communicate that Fc Internazionale Milano have granted clearance for Suazo to undergo a medical with the Rossoblù, training sessions and potential friendly matches starting from December 30.”

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi had already announced the deal yesterday afternoon, explaining that the Grifoni will decide next summer whether to sign the 30-year-old permanently.

“We have wrapped things up for Suazo,” he said. “He will play for Genoa on a loan basis with an option to make the transfer permanent.”

Genoa will submit the necessary paperwork to ratify the deal on January 2 when the transfer window officially starts in Italy.

What do you think about the deal? I like that Suazo is going to get some match experience at Genoa, but I am not so sure about giving them the right to make the loan permanent.
