Inter coach Jose Mourinho has limited options in midfield ahead of the Derby della Madonnina against Milan on Sunday, according to sportal.it.
Esteban Cambiasso is not fully fit and Sulley Muntari pulled a thigh strain in his left leg during training today. Dejan Stankovic and Thiago Motta are extremely doubtful and with Rene Khrin and Christian Chivu out through long-term injuries, Inter have very few options in midfield.
Basically Mourunho has just two healthy midfielders in Javier Zanetti and Wesley Sneijder.
Earlier this year Mourinho had similar injury problems and he opted for a 4-3-1-2 formation, with Sneijder right behind the strikers. I would expect then that Pandev and Balotelli would be the two up front in this formation.
For the three in midfield I wonder if Mourinho will play Zanetti on the right (unless Motta or Stankovic somehow recover), with a partially fit Cambiasso in the middle and either Cordoba or Santon on the left.
