Inter Get 13m For Jeison Murillo

According to Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com, Valencia have agreed a fee of €13m with Inter for the transfer of defender Jeison Murillo, according to reports.

The deal will see the 25-year-old move to the Mestalla initially on a loan, with a compulsory purchase option. Murillo agreed personal terms with Valencia weeks ago, and all that is left is the medical to complete this deal.

It is a return to Spain for the central defender who previously had played for Cadiz, Las Palmas and Granada before moved to Inter in 2015.

Despite featuring 68 times for the Nerazzurri across two seasons, Spalletti did not rate him, preferring the defensive partnership of Miranda and Skriniar.

So what does Inter do now? The consensus is that Ausilio and Sabatini will go out and sign another defender. The idea as of now isn’t to invest in an big name defender as they would prefer investing on a younger player who will initially be a back-up to Miranda and Skriniar.

Andrea Ranocchia has been linked with a loan move back to the Premier League, but at the moment I cannot see Inter letting both Murillo and Ranocchia go during this transfer window.
