Inter Held At The San Siro

Jose Mourinho’s Inter Milan had to share the points with a determined Roma who were keen to end their inconsistent form when the two sides met at the San Siro on Sunday night.

Roma stayed true to their tradition of always scoring first when playing against Inter at the San Siro as Mirko Vucinic put the visitors ahead in the 13th minute.

Inter were to respond through a Samuel Eto’o strike in the 48th minute ( this his 6th goal of the season). However, those were to be the only goals of the night for a match that had been so eagerly anticipated. This was a huge plus for Roma coach Claudio Ranieri who on Thursday evening led his boys to beat Fulham 2-1 in their mid-week Europa league match at the olympic stadium in Rome.

However, things are not so rosy for Mourinho and company. This draw has given Juventus and Milan the opportunity to close in on the nerazzurri and they are posing a serious threat to Inter’s Scudetto hopes.

Meanwhile, Inter striker Samuel Eto’o has revealed that he would like to end his career in Spain with his old club Real Mallorca. This is according to an interview that was published by the club on their website last week. The illustrious striker who mentioned how close Mallorca is to him still has quite some time to think about that.
