Inter Milan beat Fiorentina 1-0 in Coppa Italia

Inter Milan are one step closer towards winning another domestic double as they beat Fiorentina 1-0 in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi final. The second leg is scheduled for April 14.

The hero once again for Inter was Diego Milito who was set it by his strike partner Mario Balotelli.

“It is not a bad result,” Inter coach Jose Mourinho said. “Considering we were at home it gives us a bit of an advantage. We know it is never easy to play in Florence, but I would say we have the advantage. I am happier with the result than the way we played. I was expecting more from us in the second half, but Fiorentina controlled the midfield.”

Inter had several chances to kill this tie off at home, but spurned several chances and had a goal from Milito disallowed for offside in the second half.
