militoInter Milan stars Diego Milito and Lucio will miss their country’s World Cup qualifiers this weekend.

Milito suffered a muscle strain in his right thigh during Saturday’s 2-1 win over Udinese. A statement from Inter read:

“The Argentina striker has suffered a first degree strain in his right thigh. The club’s medical staff has sent the necessary documents to the Argentina Federation in view of the next World Cup qualifiers.”

Milito, who joined Inter from Genoa this summer and is the Nerazzurri’s top scorer with five goals, could be sidelined for at least a month.

Lucio will also miss Brazil’s final World Cup qualifiers over the next ten days with a muscle strain, the Brazilian Football Confederation said. There is no news yet on how long he will be out for.
