Inter Still Looking For European Success

by Philip Mboya on September 23, 2009

Could this be the season Inter achieve European glory? I think so. They have the players, the coach and a passionate crowd that is 100% behind them. There is only one problem; Barcelona, Real Madrid, Milan, Chelsea and even Arsenal will not want to see this trophy go anywhere else other than to their own trophy cabinets.

Out of all these contenders, I Believe Chelsea will be the real threat to Inter. They are hungry for European success. Having been robbed of a spot in the final last year by Barca, they have already made their intentions clear and nothing is standing in their way.

Chelsea is having an impressive start to the season and Mourinho would hate to see his old club get what he failed to achieve. Their new coach Carlo Ancelotti seems to have pumped in new belief in the squad and they will surely be going out to win everything.

Inter on the other hand made some of the wisest signings in the close season. Most notable is Lucio. This star defender seems to have adapted quickly to life in Italy and he is enjoying himself thoroughly.

Therefore, Chelsea will have to use all the tricks in their book to see them through to the final. Inter also have perennial goal scorers Eto’o and Milito to add more fire power. Mourinho knows that the road to Santiago Bernabue stadium won’t be an easy one and he will have to work extra hard to make his dream a reality.
