While there has been nothing official from Inter, there are media reports that Walter Samuel requires surgery after damaging ligaments in his right knee and will likely miss the rest of the season.
Samuel twisted his knee awkwardly in the 48th minute of Inter’s 1-1 draw with Brescia on Saturday and had to be replaced. If Samuel needs season-ending surgery that is a massive blow to Inter who are already without Julio Cesar, Maicon, Thiago Motta, Esteban Cambiasso, Dejan Stankovic and Sulley Muntari.
