Medel And Murillo Both Want To Stay

Two Inter defender that have been linked with moves away from the Giuseppe Meazza this summer have both expressed their desire to stay at the club.

Gary Medel has been heavily linked with a move back to Boca Juniors this summer but TyC Sports journalist Leandro Aguilera says he has spoken directly to Medel, who assured him that he’ll be staying at Inter next season.

The 29-year-old can play in both central midfield and at centre-back, and made 31 appearances for in all competitions last season.

Meanwhile Jeison Murillo says that “I’ll be going back to Inter” after his holiday, despite recent speculation that he could leave.

Murillo lost his status as a starting centre-back for Inter last season, prompting reports of a move to the Premier League, but the Colombian made it clear he would stay and fight for his place next season.

“I have three years left on my contract and I’ll be going back to Inter,” he told Radio Caracol.

“I don’t know anything about the market rumours, right now I just want to take advantage of my holiday.”
