Moratti supports Inter’s youth movement

morattiInter Milan president Massimo Moratti has stood by the club’s transfer policy of signing potential this summer.

The Nerazzurri have focused their attention on bringing in a number of younger players over the past few months, such as Mauro Icardi, Wallace, Ishak Belfodil and Saphir Taider, rather than opt for more established signings.

However, Moratti feels Inter’s policy stands the club in good stead for a successful future, and believes new coach Walter Mazzarri is the right man to help get the best out of the new arrivals.

“We are looking to the present as well as the future. That was our aim in the transfer market,” Moratti told Inter Channel.

“Players who, though young, are already clearly talented and with the potential to grow even further. And I think we got it right.

“But when you decide to adopt a policy like that you also need a coach who agrees with it, and, more importantly, knows how to make the most out of it.”

Basically Inter were forced into this policy as they don’t have the money to compete for established players anymore. So the only option is to buy younger players with potential, which is what they have done.

What an awful last paragraph. It reads like you were in a hurry to get it submitted.
