Mourinho Has Got Something Up His Sleeve

by Philip Mboya on February 21, 2010

If there is one thing i like about Jose Mourinho it has to be his arrogance. Just yesterday he was at it again when he stated that his side can only be beaten if reduced to 6 men. Mourinho clearly annoyed with the display of his team blasted  out at reporters after Inter were held to a barren draw with Sampdoria at the San Siro.

Inter are coming into Wednesday’s Champion League game against Chelsea on the back of 3 successive draws and Mourinho has every right to be angry. When the Blues coming calling in 2 days time, Inter will have to make sure that there are no slips-ups this time.

Chelsea are having a good season in the EPL and they will be keen on extend Saturday’s 2-0 win momentum into Europe. Mourinho will be up against his former club and he will want to show Ambramovic just how wrong he was to let him go.

I know for a fact that Mourinho has got some sort of plan to down the mighty blues and Chelsea should not be too over confident coming into this match. The San Siro is a fortress. Mourinho has not lost a single home game since taking over as coach and Ancelotti should not expect him to start on Wednesday. Last night’s draw took his impressive record of not losing a home match to 130 games stretching back to his days as Porto’s coach.

Even with a draw, the Nerazzurri still lead the Serie A table with a huge 8 point gap over nearest challenger’s Roma who are yet to play their weekend fixture. This will be a good game i just hope it brings out the best in Inter. Mourinho learnt a thing from their last group game against Barcelona, He needs to win at home and play for a draw away. That way, he can be sure to progress to the quarters.
