No deal for Arnautovic

by Amerigo on July 1, 2009

Our scout, Marco Branca told IFZ that they still didn’t reach agreement with Twente for Marko Arnautovic.

Marko is desparate to play for our club, but Twente want’s big cash.

We will see what will happen, will Arnautovic play for Inter next season.

By the way, reports are saying that Inter Milan wants even more discount on Deco and Carvalho from Chelsea, which price for both is right now only €14m.

Suazo is from today our player again, like Quaresma, but Cruz and Crespo not anymore. We wish all the best to those who left us, and all luck for those who return from loan.

It is very upsetting to see Inter being so careful with the money. One of the main reasons why Inter from average team in the middle of 90’s when Moratti took over became a force in Serie A and quite good (although not good enough yet) team in Europe because we spent money… Ronaldo, Vieri, Roberto Baggio, Crespo, Cannavaro, Seedorf, Veron, Ibrahimovic, Vieira and many others… Not all of them worked out great, but we were bying players every summer. Big players! Now, besides Milito, we are not trying to buy anybody!!! We gave 3 young players to get just above average Thiago Motta, we let young Acquafresca go to get Milito, we can’t get Arnautinovic, we are still negotiating for Deco and Carvalho, and we don’t look as we will be any better next season comparing to this one.
Yes, we still might win Seria A (who is our competiition really? Only Juventus possibly), but how do we expect to play against Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool?
Very frustrating…
This is a list of players who either already changed teams or probably will change teams this summer, and none of them were in consideration by Inter:
Kaka (we didn’t need him)
Cristiano Ronaldo
Carloz Tevez
Karim Benzema
Ruud van Nistelrooy
Arjen Robben
Xabi Alonso
David Villa
Sergio Aguero (there were rumours long ago he will come to Inter this summer, and now we hear nothing about it)
Samuel Eto’O
Raul Albiol
Wesley Snejder
Rafael van der Vaart
Emmanuel Adebayor
Edin Dzeko

Does anybody think any of those players would not be a good addition to Inter?
