Well it looks like Goran Pandev will be heading to the San Siro after all. The Macedonian International is now a free agent after being released from his Lazio contract by the Lega Calcio. Pandev who has not played for Lazio this season is now set to join the Nerazzurri on January 2 on a 5 year contract.
I guess this must be one of Moratti’s exceptions in this winter transfer window. The ironical thing is that Pandev was once an Inter player for three years and during that time he was loaned out twice. In all those three years, he never played for Inter.
If this deal comes through then Pandev will have to fight for a starting position with Diego Milito, Mario Balotelli and David Suazo. He will have to prove himself in the absence of Eto’o who will be on national duty with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations next month.
Pandev insists that he is not afraid of the competition at Inter and that he is ready to fight for a starting position. The striker is set to sign a contract that will keep him at the San Siro until June 2013 earning him a salary of 3,000,000 Euros a year.

Pandev is a good buy as he is younger than Toni and a FREE agent to boot. Rumor is that David Suazo will be sold to Genoa.
