Good news, bad news here on the Carlos Tevez transfer saga. The bad news is that he is not joining Inter. The good news is that he is not joining AC Milan.
Tevez’s advisor, Kia Joorabchian is quoted in the English newspapers as saying:
“We’ve been in negotiations with three big clubs but I don’t think they have reached the figures Manchester City want. Carlos will remain at Man City until the summer. They [City] would like to move him on but only at a certain price.”
Joorabchian was interviewed earlier today on TalkSport and went on to say:
“This summer will open up a lot of markets. All of the big clubs are looking for players who can play in the Champions League. Carlos Tevez is cup-tied and that creates a big obstacle. You’re spending a lot of money on the transfer and the salary and he can’t play Champions League. You have three-and-a-half months and then you can restructure your team, and buy Carlos, in the summer.”
I think that the window of opportunity for Inter to have bought Tevez has closed. Once the summer, more clubs will get involved in the bidding and I expect him to end up at Paris St Germain.
While Milto is playing well at the moment, Inter will need to sign two strikers in the summer (Forlan has been a major disappointment). Who do you think they should sign?

I dont think Inter missing out on Tevez is ‘bad news’ at all, i agree with him not jouning AC can be considered ‘good news’ but that is only because any half decent player not joining AC is good news to me! As for who should Inter sign….Lucas ovcourse is at the top of the list but if he continues to play hard to get I think Falcao, Hazard and Luis Suarez who may want out soon for various reasons are the best buys available within the £30-35m barrier which Inter should be able to afford by summer whether they sell Sneijder or not.
I would definately sell forlan, muntari, cordoba, and maybe chivu and Samuel. I would bring in new faster defenders, a new midfielder or 2, and a new striker. Welliton from Spartak Moscow for a forward but Falcao could be a good choice too but welliton would be much cheaper. For midfield I heard rumors of Isla from udinese. He wouldn’t be a bad signing he knows serie A and he’s a hard worker, but just an idea, what about Nigel De Jong from Man City? And if Lucas doesn’t want to come I think inter should get Casemiro. As far a defenders, I would look at a younger player that wants to work hard and win.
We shud definitely look at gettin guiseppe rossi.he n pazzini shud bond well wich wud benefit the national team.I will always favour bringin back balotelli as he shudnt hve left in d 1st place.mattia destro shud b given a 2nd chance as he is in gr8 form.rossi shud b our main target upfront
I think by sellin pandev sneijder maicon milito n use forlan n maybe coutinho 2bolster d squad while savin on wages wud b gr8 business 4us
they should sign oscar cardozo or roberto soldado, falcou but not hazzard he not good enough we missd out on vargas n sergio aguiro wen we should hav went after them 2yrs ago
inter players to leave or sell-w samual, cordoba, ranocchia he not good, stankovich, cambiasso, zanetti to retire, zarate go back lazio, pazzinni not good enough 4 inter, and wesly sneider is big question i think it depends how he plays the remainder of this season???im leaning towards selling him to fund the purchase of a young superstar tri-ciesta or number 9 plus sell muntari of course he dosnt even play
