Lega Calcio sponsor TIM has announced that the ninth edition of the pre-season TIM Trophy, a triangular tournament of 45-minute matches between Inter, Juventus and AC Milan.
This season’s games will take place at the Stadio Adriatico in Pescara on Friday 14 August.
Since the inaugural TIM Trophy in 2001, Inter have won the mini-tournament five times (in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007). AC Milan have won it three times (in 2001, 2006 and 2008).
This will be an interesting look at Inter’s main competitors for the Scudetto this year. Inter look to be in disarray while Juventus has not done anything to close that ten point gap that Inter had over them last year.
