Inter Milan’s forward Lautaro Martinez has been sent home from international duty with Argentina, after a calf injury brought to an end his spell with the national team.
Martinez was struggling with a calf injury last week and was only on the bench for Inter’s win over Bologna last week.
Despite the injury he flew out to join up with the national team this week, but Argentina sent him back to Inter rest and recuperation. Hopefully he will have enough time to get fit for the Champions League match against Spurs in ten days.
Mauro Icardi, who is carrying a knock also, still remains with the Argentina team, so hopefully he is not risking his fitness ahead of the Spurs game also.
