Inter director of sport Piero Ausilio insists that wingers Antonio Candreva and Ivan Perisic will not be moving to the Premier League this summer, despite both players being heavily linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester United respectively.
“I don’t understand where some of these stories come from,” Ausilio told Mediaset Premium.
“Candreva has never been on the market and we have absolutely no intention of selling him.
“The same goes for Perisic, who is an important player and we are currently discussing a new contract with him.”
Inter have been quietly effective in the transfer market this summer, signing Matias Vecino, Milan Skriniar and Borja Valero, while Nice full-back Dalbert is set to arrive soon in a deal worth €20m plus bonuses and 20 per cent sell-on fee .
While the signings have strengthened weaknesses in the tea, Suning have not landed the big name star that they crave, and Ausilio threw cold water on Inter’s pursuit of Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal saying:
“We realised straight away that it was practically impossible to get Vidal, because when Bayern don’t open the door, you’ve got no chance.”
