When the summer transfer window closes, and we analyze that everything that Inter have done this summer, not enough credit will be given the masterful job that Beppe Marotta has done.
Not once, but twice, Marotta is set to have schooled Manchester United CEO Ed Woodward on the art of the deal.
In smashing our transfer record for Romelu Lukaku, Marotta structured the deal in such a way that the transfer will be paid over the length of the contract, ensuring that Inter will have maximum flexibility to make additional deals in the next couple of years.
As for the deal to sign Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United, Inter have agreed on a free loan with no obligation to buy at the end of the season.
In addition, Inter will only need to pay €5m of Sanchez’s salary, which is set at €23m per year, with the rest covered by Manchester United.
What do you think of Alexis Sanchez coming to Inter? is this a good deal?
