Gabriel Barbosa is “proud” to be linked to various clubs, but isn’t closing the door on a permanent stay with Inter either.
The striker’s loan spell at Santos will end in January, at which point he will return to the Nerazzurri. The Brazilian enjoyed a productive spell back at Santos, where he finished as the top scorer in the Brazilian league with 18 goals and was named to the Brazilian League’s team of the season.
I just don’t see where Gabigol fits into this Inter squad. Spalletti is having a difficult time giving Lautaro Martínez enough playing time.
That is why Gabigol continues to be linked with a January move to Premier League side Everton, where a six-month loan with an obligation to buy the striker this summer would be a great deal for Inter financially.
“I’m proud of the links to all these great clubs,” the forward known as Gabigol said outside a commercial event in Brazil.
“I’m tied to Santos, but I don’t close the door to anyone. I’m going back to Inter, but I like all these rumours. I just want to be happy and play, no matter where that is.
“I’m happy to be an Inter player, it’s definitely a great team.”
