With only four wins in their last 9 games in all competitions, Inter’s dreams of Champions League football have died. At the moment, even Europa League football for next season is not assured as Inter.
Included in those matches are defeats to Lazio, Juventus and Roma, all sides above Inter the table.
And questions are starting to be asked about whether manager Stefano Pioli is the right man to take Inter back into Europe.
With Serie A getting four automatic places in the Champions League next season, it is essential that Inter finish in the top four next season, especially with the money that Suning are reportedly willing to invest in the summer transfer market.
The big question is whether Pioli is the man to lead Inter to that top four position. Which is why the upcoming Derby, and matches against Napoli, Lazio and Fiorentina are so important to Pioli’s future.
Inter probably need to win at least three of these four big games for Pioli to retain his job. If he doesn’t, Suning will be looking for their fourth manager since buying the club less than a year ago.
Do you think Stefano Pioli is the right man to take Inter back into Europe next season?
