Having made a failed attempt to land Andrea Favilli from Juventus, Udinese have turned their attention to Inter teenager Andrea Pinamonti.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Udinese have already reached out to Pinamonti’s representatives and the striker is not opposed to a move away from Inter.
Pinamonti, a lifetime Inter fan, is one of the best players to come through the Inter academy in years. He has been a prolific goalscorer at all levels for the Nerazzurri, but he has been unable to break into the first team due to the presence of Mauro Icardi. The arrival os and now Lautaro Martinez, who is only a year older than Pinamonto has pushed the Italy under-19 international even further down the the pecking order.
According to the newspaper Inter are open to selling Pinamonti, but only if any deal includes a buy back option.
I hate to see Inter give up on its young players so soon, especially one who is so passionate about the club. But at 19, Pinamonti needs to chance to play every week and he is not going to get that at Inter.
Better he goes to a club like Udinese where he can continue to develop and maybe one day return to Inter as a more finished product.
