Former Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta held meetings with Inter and is ready to cross over to the Nerazzurri.
According to Tuttosport, Suning Group’s chief representative in Milan Steven Zhang met with Marotta over the past couple of days.
They discussed the plans for Inter to get back to the top of Italian and European football, and Zang reportedly offered Marotta a €3m a year contract, which would make him one of the highest paid people at Inter.
During Marotta’s eight years in Turin he oversaw the transformation of Juventus into an all conquering squad with seven consecutive Serie A titles.
Moratta would be coming to Inter to run the club. he played a huge role in Juventus moving into their new stadium, and growing the commercial revenues of the club.
For some reason Juventus President Andrea Agnelli decided to cut him from the club, as Marotta confirmed in several interviews that the decision to leave was not made by him.
His current contract will expire on October 25, and according to reports he has narrowed his choices to Inter or AC Milan.
