Going back in time to June 21, 2011 when I write this article that Inter made an improved offer of €30m for Kaka. Unknown to the public at the time was that injuries were about to cut Kaka’s career short, and he never regained the sort of form that had won him the Ballon d’Or at Milan.
Luckily for Inter, Real Madrid would not sell him and Inter avoided a €100m mistake (transfer fee plus wages).
I wrote a week or so ago about how Inter had made a £26million bid for Kaka. Well that bid was rejected by Real Madrid, but according to the French news daily L’Equipe, Inter have made an improved offer of 30million euros for Kaka.
According to the report, Madrid manager Jose Mourinho still sees a role for Kaka in his team next season but L’Equipe says that he will accept an improved offer from Inter of 40million euros for the player.
This story has persisted for a while now and I see it as a real possibility that Kaka could sign for Inter. Would Inter fans accept him?
