According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ausilio handed Wanda a offer that could raise Mauro’s wages from €5m a year plus bonus to €7.5-8m.
In return Inter want to raise Icardi’s release clause of €110 million that expires next July 15 (and applies only to foreign countries) or even eliminate it.
You would think that after recently buying a new home in Milan, that this would be an easy negotiation to complete. But Wanda rolled Ausilio last summer when the striker was wanted by Napoli, and with rumors that Juventus and Bayern Munich are in the market for a number 9, Wanda is doing what she does best. And that is get the best deal for her client.
I expect this deal to get done before the end of the month, as Inter cannot afford to allow a club to steal Icardi for a steal at €110m.
