In a deal announced on Wednesday, Nilox will be listed as Inter’s official electric mobility partner for the duration of the 2017/18 season. The company will supply Inter’s players with its eco-friendly products, including hoverboards, scooters, skateboards and electric bikes.
In return, Nilox will benefit from a prominent presence on pitchside LED bands and on the big screens at the team’s iconic San Siro home ground, and will also feature on the club’s official website and digital channels.
“We’re happy to welcome Nilox as our official partner for electric mobility,” said Michael Gandler, Inter Milan’s chief revenue officer.
“They’re a leader in the sector and we’re happy that they’ve chosen our club to boost their presence in football. We hope that this agreement will bring both organisations to a future rich in satisfaction.”
Michele Bertacco, brand director at Nilox, added:
“We hope that this new partnership represents an important step for Nilox, to increase our brand recognition and awareness of our products on national and international levels. Also, we hope that this collaboration will bring synergy and future commercial opportunities.”
It is rare that a club that add a season-long sponsor this late into the season, and this move by Suning, has to be seen as a way to bolster the team’s commercial revenue in order to avoid further FFP restrictions.
