Mancini Out As Inter Boss

roberto-mancini-imI wrote about it earlier this evening but the news has broken. Roberto Mancini has left Inter by “mutual consent” and he will be replaced by Frank de Boer.

According to FCInterNews, Mancini who is in the last year of his contract was offered a three-year contract extension by Suning, but he did not like the performance requirements built into it and thus decided to leave the club.

De Boer obviously has no issue with a performance laded contract as ehe has agreed to a three-year deal

De Boer won the Eredivisie four times in a six-year tenure as Ajax manager from 2010, before stepping down at the end of the 2015-16 campaign after missing out on another league title to PSV Eindhoven.

As a player, De Boer played made over 300 appearances for Ajax from 1988-1999 before joining Barcelona, spending four years at the Nou Camp and winning La Liga.

He also enjoyed brief spells at Galatasaray and Rangers in 2003 and 2004 respectively, linking up with his twin brother Ronald at Ibrox, before finishing his playing career in Qatar.

De Boer also won 112 caps for Holland and captained them at the World Cup in 1998 and Euro 200.

What do you think of the decision to replace Mancini with De Boer?
