“Conte is a winning Coach. His experience with Juventus was with a different squad and in more difficult circumstances, with what was a weaker team than the one he has today at Inter.
“We don’t know our level yet and are unfamiliar with the opponents too, that is the main difference in the Champions League compared to Serie A,” the director told Sky Sport Italia.
“We enacted a policy of change compared to the recent past, so it’s only natural there is going to be curiosity around the team. We have created what I believe to be a winning model up to the standards of our objectives.
“Obviously, it’s early days and we can’t read too much into our position in the table after three rounds. The important thing is that the team is following the ideals of the Coach and club.”
Suning Group pumped money into the transfer market and by hiring Conte, not to mention former Juventus CEO Marotta.
“Inter have always been a very prestigious club with victories in all major competitions. With Suning’s arrival, we revitalised enthusiasm and people thought all objectives were possible, but they always saw it as a long-term project.
“Suning have made important investments in the club, that has to be recognised, and Inter always go into a tournament aiming for the maximum result.”
This game is taking place at San Siro, but talks continue to tear down the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and replace it with a new arena.
“Both Inter and Milan want to create a structure that is suited to hold the thousands of fans who come every week and it must be a real home for these supporters. We will continue discussions to reach an agreement on the best solution for all concerned.”
