Inter have confirmed that Lautaro Martinez is likely to miss this weekend’s Serie A game with Parma due to an injury.
The striker had already pulled out of the match against Bologna and left international duty with Argentina early.
Now he has returned to Milan and the Nerazzurri announced
“an MRI scan showing that he is still struggling with a hematoma in the soleus muscle of his left leg.
“Martinez’s condition will now be reassessed over the next few days.”
While there are concerns the young forward might not even be fit for a spot on the bench against Parma on Saturday, the bigger concern is the Champions League match against Tottenham next week.
Due to Financial Fair Play restrictions, Inter already are under-manned for the Champions League group matches, and they cannot afford injuries to key players like Martinez.
