Walter Mazzarri lamented the referee’s decisions this evening, as Inter lost 1-0 to Lazio at Stadio Olimpico.
A late Miroslav Klose goal gave the home side all three points, but the Nerazzurri boss thought Andre Dias should have been sent off in the first half.
“We knew it was going to be a difficult game,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “This is the sort of game that is decided on the basis of right and wrong decisions.
“There was a clear penalty and a red card for a foul on Rolando from Dias, but never mind.
“We were unlucky. It was a clear penalty. If you ask me I’ll tell you what I think.
“But we were also naïve for Klose’s goal – although he did well and it was a good finish.”
Not sure if I agree with Mazzarri here. Despite dominating possession Inter created very few chances as Esteban Cambiasso, Ricky Alvarez and Fredy Guarin all were poor.
Guarin in particular looked like a player who cannot wait to leave Inter. A 57% passing accuracy is simply not good enough. Neither is ignoring the Inter fans and coach when you are substituted.
What did you think of Inter’s performance and result?
