There is an interesting subplot to the Malcom to Inter stories, because the player he could potentially replace at Inter is Antonio Candreva, and Candreva’s agent Federico Pastorello is involved as an intermediary in the Malcolm deal.
Inter reportedly had a 40m bid for Malcom rejected on Monday as Bordeaux were not impressed with Inter’s offer to spread the cost out over a longer period.
Despite that rejection, Pastorello still believes the Brazilian could yet end up in Nerazzurro.
“It’s not over for Malcom, we’re continuing to work,” he told Calciomercato.com.
As for what the arrival of Malcom would mean for his client Candreva, Pastorello added:
“He’s happy to stay in Milan, but we’ll see if something comes out. We’ll evaluate if it does.”
One option for Pastorello and Candreva could be North London as Tottenham Hostpur are said to be exploring the possibility of taking Candreva next season.
Tottenham’s interest in Candreva could be useful as Inter are also interested in Spurs midfielder Moussa Dembele. A deal for Dembele that includes Candreva and cash could be enough to get the deal done, and that would help Pastorello get the Malcom transfer over the line.
