The young winger is reportedly top of Luciano Spalletti summer wish list, but Inter’s initial offer of €45m plus Yann Karamoh for the Italian international has been turned down.
FiorentinaF co-owner Diego Della Valle feels that Chiesa is ‘happy’ at Viola and does not need to advance his career elsewhere.
“I don’t know anything, I can talk as a fan, but the President is my brother Andrea,” he told FirenzeViola.it.
“The lad is looking great, plus he has the perfect father. He’s happy at Fiorentina. Where else should he go?”
Della Valle’s comments aside, it is clear why Spalletti wants Chiesa. He was outstanding last season for Fiorentina, scoring six and assisting five times in 36 Serie A appearances.
His impressive performances have also earned him a call up to the Italian national side, making five appearances in 2018 so far at the age of just 20.
Chiesa is one of the hottest properties in Italian football and according to Gazzetta dello Sport Fiorentina’s asking price for the winger is €70m. Is Inter willing to go that high?
