According to media reports Inter do have a Plan B if their audacious move for Real Madrid’s playmaker Luka Modric falls through and his name is Leandro Paredes.
Paredes used to play for former Inter boss Roberto Mancini at Zenit Saint Petersburg where the 24-year-old scored five goals and made eight assists between RPL and Europa League action last season.
Paredes is well know to Luciano Spalletti, who kept the midfielder on the bench next to him at Roma!
The midfielder, who stared at Empoli before moving to the Stadio Olimpico, and wants to return to Italy and he would be a good fit for Inter’s system as he is strong defensively and is a quality passer of the ball.
The upside to signing Paredes over Modric would be that it would allow Inter to pursue a right-back, something the team has not addressed yet via the transfer market
