When the story broke in Italy and Asia last week that former Inter patron Massimo Moratti was going to buy out-going president Erick Thohir’s shares in the club, the news raised more than a few eyebrows.
Why would Moratti want to buy back into Inter so soon after selling the club, and what does that say about the financial stability of Suning?
In an interview with Sportitalia Moratti refuted the reports that we was going to buy Thohir’s shares:
“Without a doubt I miss being a president. You have a different adrenaline when you have such a role.
“However, I have no intention of repurchasing Thohir’s shares as someone said, because I already had them and sold them.
It would be absurd.”
