After watching Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial terrorize West Ham United’s fullbacks at the weekend, it appears that Ivan Perisic is ready to forego a move to Manchester United and sign a new long-term deal at Inter.
Perisic has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer, but United never came close to matching Inter’s €55 million valuation for the winger.
And with the transfer window closing in two weeks, Luciano Spalletti says that Perisic will spend next season playing in Serie A.
“Perisic is determined to stay,” Spalleti told Sky Sport Italia.
“There was a moment [when he considered moving], but then he spoke like a footballer who is interested in doing the right thing for his professionalism and he drew a conclusion.”
Hopefully a new contract can get Perisic back to the form he showed last season where he scored 11 goals and created 61 chances.
