Pioli Names Squad For Bologna Coppa Italia Match

Stefano Pioli has named a 23-man squad for Inter v Bologna in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 tie on Tuesday evening.

It will be interesting to see how Pioli balances rotating his squad, versus trying to win the match. We saw in the Europa League earlier this season that Inter have a lack of depth in the squad, and resting of more than two starters can have a negative impact on the team’s performance.

Despite that Pioli is expected to make a couple of changes with Gabigol expected to replace Icardi, while Gary Medel is back in the squad for the first time in two months, and I would expect him to be one of the substitutes.

Inter Squad

Goalkeepers: 1 Handanovic, 30 Carrizo, 46 Berni;

Defenders: 2 Andreolli, 13 Ranocchia, 15 Ansaldi, 21 Santon, 24 Murillo, 33 D’Ambrosio, 55 Nagatomo, 95 Miangue;

Midfielders: 5 Gagliardini, 6 Joao Mario, 7 Kondogbia, 17 Medel, 27 Gnoukouri, 77 Brozovic;

Attackers: 8 Palacio, 9 Icardi, 11 Biabiany, 23 Eder, 87 Candreva, 96 Barbosa.

    Gabigol in attack. Candreva-Joao Mario-Brozovic in midfueld with Gagliardini-Kondogbia in the front of the defence. Santon-Medel-Murillo-Miangue as the four defending players to defence. Let’s play and goodluck. Forza Nerazzurri.

      I like it. Only question is whether Gagliardini is cup-tied??
