I am hearing some interesting stories that Inter president Zhang Jindong is not happy with the public statements of Antonio Conte.
Conte has been very public in casting aside Mauro Icardi, Radja Nainggolan and Ivan Perisic as Suning believes that his comments have only lowered their transfer value.
After spending big on midfielder Nicolo Barella and Stefano Sensi already, Suning see Lukaku as too expensive and want the focus to be more on balance the books and selling some of the unwanted players.
It is not a good sign for Conte that Suning are unhappy with him already, as he was not their choice. Suning wanted to bring back Jose Mourinho, but one of the conditions they agreed to in hiring Beppe Marotta, was that Marotta would get to pick the next coach. And Marotta went with Conte.
That these stories are coming out of China this early into Conte’s reign is not a good sign, and if Inter get off to a slow start this season, it will not take long for the leaks to appear in the paper like we saw with Spalletti.
