Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is set to miss huge Serie A games against AS Roma and Juventus in the coming weeks due to a thigh injury.
The 26-year-old was forced off after only 23 minutes during the Nerazzurri’s goalless draw with Atlanta at the weekend, with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.
From Inter’s post on their website, Brozovic picked up a thigh injury:
Marcelo Brozovic has undergone an MRI scan at the Humanitas hospital in Rozzano after going off injured during the first half of Inter vs. Atalanta. The results show that he has damaged the semitendinosus muscle in his right thigh, with the Croatian midfielder now set to be reassessed next week.
With a reassessment next week, that rules the midfielder out of the trip to Frosinone and all-but-certainly the clash with Champions League rivals Roma.
Brozovict also faces a race against time to be fit in time for the Derby d’Italia against Juventus on April 27.
