Skriniar Becomes Spalletti’s First Signing

The Luciano Spalletti era has officially kicked off with the news that Sampdoria defender Milan Skriniar has became Spalletti’s first signing.

Sky Italia is claiming that Skriniar has past his medical and has signed for Inter. The transfer fee is
€20 million plus bonuses tied to the number of appearances that the defender can reach during his 5 year contract at Inter. Add in Gianluca Caprari who went to Sampdoria as part of the deal and Inter have spent potentially over €35 million for the Slovakia international, who was one of the stars at the U-21 Euros this summer.

With that kind of money spent to acquire him it is clear that Spalletti has penciled in Skriniar as one of his two center backs when the season kicks off in August.

Expect the deal to be officially announced as early as Saturday July 1.
