Inter boss Luciano Spalletti has confirmed that the arrival of summer signings Radja Nainggolan and Stefan de Vrij will allow in to go to a back three next season.
Talking about Nainggolan, who Spalletti managed at Roma, the Inter boss told Sky Italia:
“He is the turbine we were missing, the extra head of steam,” Spalletti told Sky Sport Italia.
“The fact that the moment he was put on the market by Roma, he chose us, is very pleasing. He has everything to battle it out against any opponent. He is the Ninja.
“It also pleases players to see the masses of people who run to support Inter in every stadium, because this love goes beyond the result.”
Inter have revamped this summer with the arrival of Stefan de Vrij and Kwadwo Asamoah as free agents from Lazio and Juventus respectively.
“I was asked if the arrival of De Vrij means we’ll move to three at the back and I can confirm that is the case.”
