According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the arrival of former Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta at Inter Milan will give the Nerazzurri a big boost in the transfer market.
Marotta has not been formally announced as Inter’s CEO of sporting activities but he is already working for Inter, representing the club at a league meeting earlier this week.
What Marotta brings to Inter is a rolodex filled with the biggest names in world football. But even more important than the names, are Marotta’s relationships with the power agents like Mino Raiola. Raiola and Marotta worked together to bring Paul Pogba to Juventus and has a wide range of clients that could be utilized by Inter in the market.
Raiola’s clientel includes Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku, PSG’s Marco Verratti, AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, Nice’s Mario Balotelli and Juventus’ Moise Kean, amongst others from Europe’s elite clubs.
Marotta, as per La Gazzetta, is also friends with Sassuolo president Carnevali. That relationship could be crucial in helping Inter complete deals such as the permanent move for Matteo Politano, who scored the winner in Italy’s international friendly with the USA last night.
