Inter are considering ex-Roma director of sport Walter Sabatini to take over from current director of sport Piero Ausilio, according to SportItalia.
Sabatini resigned from the Giallorossi board after months of speculation and is currently unemployed, having terminated his contract by mutual consent.
Now SportItalia suggest that Inter are preparing to approach the transfer guru.
Chinese owners Suning Group are slowly starting to take over the club, inserting their men into the key positions. Last month saw the departure of chief executive Michael Bolingbroke and Ausilio, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season, is expected to be the next high profile departure.
it makes no sense to have someone who could be out of a job in the summer planning an executing Inter’s transfer strategy for the next two transfer windows.
Ausilio has done a poor job recruiting for need at Inter. He has been unable to find two quality fullbacks or a top quality central defender.
