Eder was terrific against Empoli on Sunday as his goal and assist helped move Inter up to fifth place in the table. Afterwards the Italian international spoke to the media and here are some of his comments to the Inter Channel and Premium Sports.
Inter Channel :
“Empoli do a lot of running and we were forced to as well when we didn’t have the ball,” the Italy striker explained to Inter Channel. “These are three important points to continue climbing back up the league. The goal aside, the important thing is that we won.
“As a squad, we work well; I don’t like speaking about absentees. We’re all doing our best and we have to continue like this. My assist for Candreva was the only way I could get the ball behind their defence.
“We had the right attitude against Juventus as well,” Eder concluded, “but the little details matter in football.
We’ve played well in both matches and we won today with concentration and hard work.”
“We talk on the field and the controversy we leave to the proper authorities. We trained well during the week and we had a good game, three important points in order to move up the ranks. We are a team, everyone trains well and the coach makes his choices. We are all ready, since joining, the coach has done well and it happened again today.”
The poor start? “What has happened, has happened, we have to think about the present. In the first three months we lost so many points, now we must do well. We will have two direct clashes at home and we have to try to gain most points possible. We know that there are not only the two direct clashes, there are so many big games and need to be addressed one by one, all working together. If we continue like this, we can do it, depends only on us. Everything is still in our hands, we have to continue like this.”
